RESUME BLUEPRINT

My passions and profession blend. Being a Creative, an Investor, and an Adventurer have become my passions. A mixture of creating, building, and strategizing is my profession. I live on the Northern East Coast, but I was born and raised on the West Coast in Southern California. My life has been defined by family heritage, friends, beaches, and the streets of Southern Cali. The outdoors, art, surf, music, and skateboarding culture have influenced my work. This diversity has shaped my perspective on life, with my creativity and passion for progression. This background has given me a highly stylized sense of fashion that helps me in my work.

WORK / TITLE / STATEMENT

REEBOK- Global Footwear Design Director

At Reebok, I'm leading teams through the product in running, basketball, and energy collaborations.

  • The current highlight is my leadership in guiding the brand in partnerships on Cardi B products, inline basketball with focused footwear, and an initial launch back on the court.

CONVERSE - Lead Senior Footwear Designer / Global Footwear Design Director / Footwear Design Director 2014 - 2021 (7 Years)

Converse has been defined by timeless design and a 100+ years history, and with my experience in brand building at Supra, I set out to play a vital role in determining the future of the beloved brand CONVERSE, other than only being known as the Chuck Taylor.

  • As Men’s Global Footwear Design Director, I have led a team through six successful seasons, delivering progressive design to the most sizable areas of the Converse business.

  • Additionally, in this capacity, I played a critical role in successfully launching Converse sustainability initiatives with the Renew franchise and expanding the brand into the outdoor space.

  • In Global Strategic Product (GSP) Design Director, I lead in creative direction across the categories.

  • As design director of Global Strategic Product (GSP), I set the creative direction across all categories in this space. I introduced the Untitl3d franchise. This wildly successful line added millions in revenue.

  • As Sr. Footwear Designer, I created the Converse Zakim that generated booming new sales across all age groups.

  • Set new standards for margin, detail, and fit and ultimately created a renewed brand trust to diversify further the product offering to tap into new Converse consumers.

 SUPRA - Senior Footwear Designer / Design Director 2011 - 14 (4 Years)

My goal at Supra was to bring years of experience in corporate structure to the creative and open-minded Supra team. They were pushing new ideas to the market, and some new organizational thinking would raise the level of the design department and their business overall.

  • Design-focused, I added technical performance benefits with extensive factory development.

  • I implemented creative design reviews with global business partners that previously didn’t exist at the brand and helped identify future markets.

  • My product management increased margin across new and old production styles. I was creating more diversity.

  • In creating more diversity across product styles, my design leadership pushed the edge in design and fashion performance.

VANS - Footwear Designer / 2007 - 11 (4 years)

Vans is where I established my foundation in footwear design.

  • My contribution to Vans was developing three highly successful categories: Vans SURF, Vans OTW, and Vans Action Sports.

  • I designed deconstructed classics with a comfortable vibe in Vans SURF.

  • With Vans OTW, I lead a design approach towards modernized classics.

  • For Vans Action Sports, I was able to design BMX, snowboard boots, and sk8 performance products.

HURLEY - Consultant Footwear Designer / 2005 - 7 (3 Years)

My start in the industry was designing leading surf products for men, Women, and Youth.

  • I contributed to the tactic of utilizing Nike technology. In Hurley’s Movement Sandal design, we introduced Nike’s free technology. I believe this design was my most significant contribution because of its influence. Hurley later integrated Nike technologies across all newly designed products. This proved to be an effective strategy for the brand as it became a leader in the surf industry.
